We are an early-stage startup building a new product that makes search and discovery simpler and smarter. Our immediate goal is to deliver a minimum viable product (MVP) that combines structured data with intelligent, AI-driven user interactions.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

• Frontend: HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and frameworks like React, Next.js, Angular, or Vue.js.
• Backend: Node.js, Python (Django/FastAPI/Flask), or equivalent.
• Database: SQL and NoSQL databases; PostgreSQL, MongoDB, or similar.
• AI / NLP Integration:
• Experience using LLMs or NLP models to parse user input.
• Ability to translate conversational input into structured queries against a database.
• Familiarity with AI APIs (OpenAI, HuggingFace, or equivalent).
• Data ingestion: APIs, GraphQL, or scraping frameworks.
• Deployment: Cloud hosting and app deployment.
• Bonus: Experience with recommendation engines, vector search, or similar AI-driven matching systems.
• Mobile Development skills will be looked on favourably, but are not necessarily required.

ABOUT THE ROLE

We’re seeking a talented Full Stack Developer who can build our MVP web application end-to-end. This is an exciting opportunity to work closely with the founder, take ownership of the process, and build a product from scratch. To that end, you will be instrumental in determining the future of the product.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Designing and building the frontend and backend of the MVP.
• Implementing and maintaining a database and search system capable of ingesting and updating structured data.
• Integrating AI-powered search and natural language query functionality so that user input can be translated into actionable queries.
• Building a simple, clean, and responsive frontend for users.
• Deploying and maintaining the application on a cloud platform (AWS, GCP, Vercel, or similar).
• Collaborating with the founder to iterate quickly on features and functionality.
