FULL STACK DEVELOPER – JAVASCRIPT, REACT & NODE (BANKING):

On behalf of our Banking client, Procom is searching for a Full Stack Developer – JavaScript, React & Node for a 3 month contract role. This position is a hybrid position with 4 days onsite at our client’s Toronto office.

FULL STACK DEVELOPER – JAVASCRIPT, REACT & NODE (BANKING) - JOB DESCRIPTION:

This project focuses on the development of mobile web applications for fraud and card servicing as part of the client’s digital journey. The role involves a balanced mix of front-end and back-end development using JavaScript, ReactJS, and NodeJS within a cloud application environment.

FULL STACK DEVELOPER – JAVASCRIPT, REACT & NODE (BANKING) - MANDATORY SKILLS:

• 10+ years’ progressive relevant IT working experience
• 2+ years’ experience as a Full Stack Developer
• 2+ years’ recent project experience with ReactJS
• Strong experience with JavaScript (ReactJS, NodeJS)
• Experience in a banking environment
• Exposure to digital applications
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

FULL STACK DEVELOPER – JAVASCRIPT, REACT & NODE (BANKING) – NICE-TO-HAVE SKILLS:

• Experience with Cloud applications
• Extensive experience in designing and developing enterprise-grade software
• Experience from FI/banking, preferably Scotiabank
• Experience with UI applications
• Knowledge/Experience with Scotia digital applications, such as SOL or Orion

• Stay current on industry best practices and secure coding
• Analyze and oversee the team’s development efforts for successful code delivery
• Provide technical leadership to teammates through coaching and mentorship
• Maintain high standards of software quality within the team by establishing good practices and habits
• Collaborate with other software developers, business analysts, and software architects to plan, design, develop, test, and maintain different applications
• Design, develop, and unit test applications in accordance with established standards
• Work with Delivery Leads and BSA’s to articulate efforts and compile estimates
