Roles & Responsibilities

The Full Stack Developer is responsible for designing, developing, securing, and maintaining enterprise digital applications that support Shurooq's business operations and public-facing services. The role provides technical leadership, ensures high software quality, and drives the transition of application development and support from external vendors to an in-house Digital Solutions team.

Application Design & Development: Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable, secure, and high-performance web and mobile applications using approved front-end and back-end technologies while ensuring code quality and maintainability.

Solution Architecture & Technical Leadership: Define application architecture, technical standards, and development best practices. Provide technical guidance, conduct code reviews, and mentor developers to ensure consistent, high-quality software delivery.

API & System Integration: Design, develop, and maintain secure RESTful APIs and integrate enterprise applications with internal and third-party systems while ensuring reliability, scalability, and data integrity.

DevOps & Application Deployment: Manage source control, CI/CD pipelines, and deployment processes to ensure efficient, automated, and reliable software releases across development, testing, and production environments.

Application Security & Compliance: Implement secure coding practices, address vulnerabilities, perform security reviews, and ensure applications comply with Shurooq's cybersecurity policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.

Application Support & Continuous Improvement: Monitor application performance, troubleshoot production issues, resolve defects, optimize system performance, and recommend enhancements to improve user experience and operational efficiency.

Business Collaboration & Project Delivery: Work closely with business stakeholders, Digital Solutions team members, and project managers to translate business requirements into technical solutions, estimate development effort, and deliver projects on schedule.

Knowledge Management & Vendor Transition: Maintain comprehensive technical documentation, support knowledge transfer, and progressively transition application development and support from external managed service providers to the internal Digital Solutions team.

Desired Candidate Profile

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of professional experience in Full Stack software development, including experience in enterprise web application development.
• Strong proficiency in modern front-end technologies such as React.js, Next.js, JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML5, and CSS3.
• Strong experience in back-end development using Node.js (Express.js) and developing secure RESTful APIs.
• Experience with relational and NoSQL databases such as Microsoft SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, or MySQL.
• Experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps practices, including tools such as Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions.
• Experience deploying and supporting applications on Microsoft Azure (preferred) or AWS, including containerization technologies such as Docker.
• Solid understanding of secure software development, OWASP Top 10, authentication/authorization (OAuth2, JWT), and application security best practices.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments with strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
• Experience integrating enterprise applications with third-party systems and maintaining production applications is highly desirable.
• Experience with WordPress development, including custom themes, plugins, and API integrations.
