Location: Hybrid Toronto (2 days/week in office)
Applies development expertise to front and back-end systems coding combined with project management experience with systems administration skills. Designs the strategy for continuous enhancement, performance optimization, stability, and scalability. Designs, develops, and maintains fully-fledged and functioning platforms with databases or servers. Designs the user experience, user interaction, responsive design, and complete architecture. Works with databases, servers, APIs, version control systems, and third-party apps. Ensures cross-platform compatibility and fixes issues during test and production phases.

POSITION OVERVIEW:

The Full Stack Developer within the AI+ Research & Commercialization’s Applied AI team at BMO will be responsible for developing, delivering, and maintaining an innovative internal platform that serves AI-driven predictions and insights to business stakeholders. Working within a team of product owners, data scientists, data engineers and machine learning engineers, the full stack developer will design and develop key frontend and backend capabilities to support the delivery of core AI capabilities across the enterprise.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

• Typically 5–7 years of relevant experience with a related post-secondary degree or equivalent education and experience.
• Advanced skills: programming, application integration, test-driven development, SDLC, troubleshooting, system integration.
• Demonstrated technical proficiency through hands-on delivery of complex, scalable cloud-native applications.
• Excellent verbal and written communication, influencing, and stakeholder management skills.
• Intermediate skills: quality assurance, cloud computing, microservices, requirements analysis, adaptability, communication, collaboration, analytical problem-solving, data-driven decision making.
