Description:
SCOR is creating a new platform to monitor its exposure accumulation. The tool (called SCENA) will gather data from different sources and run calculations based on user defined scenarios to answer various analyses and requests coming from the management or the regulators.
To allow the end users to use the platform, we are creating different user interfaces (to achieve different aspects of the workflow). The technology stack for these interfaces is following the SCOR preferred technologies (as defined in our target enterprise architecture), gravitating around: Angular, Python and Docker.
To ensure our long-term internal capability to develop and maintain the tools, SCOR is willing to hire a full- stack developer, proficient with the technology stack (both front and back), able to work with a test-driven development (TDD) approach, following agile project management methodologies (scrum, kanban) supported by the Azure DevOps infrastructure.
You will be responsible to design and create critical parts of our software portfolio, including:
- Exploration and exposure capture tool (EDM Explorer)
- Scenario modelling interface to allow analysts to create scenarios and run calculation
- Backend counterpart/web-services/REST API
- Advanced visualization tools (maps, charts, graphs, etc.)
You will support the business stakeholders in designing appropriate solutions to facilitate the processes, including working on specification and documenting models and software new features.
You will work in a large team, across different projects and will contribute to the work of others through code reviews and pair programming.
- Minimum 2-3 years professional experience in software development
- Expertise in web frontend development and its ecosystem: Angular 15+, Typescript, CSS, html
- Working experience with Agile methodologies (scrum, kanban)
- Good communication skills and ability to exchange directly with business stakeholders
- Experience of test-driven development and related technologies (Cypress, pytest)
- Proven experience in API design and development
- Python (and python api libraries) knowledge a good plus
- Skills in software architecture & design, with focus on UI/UX
- Experience with complex frontend state management (NgRx/Redux)
- Nx mono repos and web assembly would be beneficial
- Knowledge of Azure DevOps or similar CI/CD tools is a plus
- Have a bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science or related technical field
