POSITION FOCUS:

The Full Stack Developer (FSD) will work at Yale University Art Gallery, one of the oldest university museums in America. The position would support the advancement of the mission and vision of the museum, which is to serve as a center for teaching, learning and scholarship.
We are looking for a highly skilled Full Stack Developer to design, develop, and implement software solutions that enhance the museum’s digital infrastructure. They will maintain both front and back-end components to our web applications. They will manage the entire development lifecycle of a project from start to finish and write documentation for all aspects of each application. They will work closely with stakeholders at the museum and across the university.
The successful candidate must be curious and be able to learn and adapt quickly to new technologies.

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Bachelor’s Degree in a related field and two years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

REQUIRED SKILL/ABILITY 1:

Proven experience with Java, SQL (relational databases), Angular, HTML and CSS. Proven experience with relational databases, and software configuration management in multiple environments.

REQUIRED SKILL/ABILITY 2:

Understanding of RESTful APIs and web services.

REQUIRED SKILL/ABILITY 3:

Proven experience with cloud computing such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google GCP.

REQUIRED SKILL/ABILITY 4:

Familiarity with version control systems, preferably Git.

REQUIRED SKILL/ABILITY 5:

Demonstrated excellent oral and written communication skills. Proven strong decision-making and ability to relay complex technical solutions to non-technical stakeholders.

PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:

Experience in the cultural or museum sector. Proven experience with both front-end and back-end development.

Responsibilities
