Our team is committed to enhancing physician and patient quality of life through Elation, a SaaS cloud-based clinical platform. Since inception, we’ve been focused on building an intuitive, reliable experience that empowers physicians to deliver better care to patients.
Elation is looking for a full-stack engineer (preferably front end leaning) with a deep understanding of web programming, design, and technical obstacles to join our application team focused on building and maintaining AI driven product experiences. As a member of the team you’ll be deeply involved in the system design, development, and maintenance of these products.
If you’re excited about building AI-powered tools that help doctors and patients, we want to hear from you — even if you don’t check every box below!
What You’ll Do in Your First 60 Days
Ship your first AI-powered feature improvement to production
Partner with Product and UX to scope and design at least one new capability
Get familiar with our stack (Python, MySQL, React, AWS) and AI integration patterns
Participate in code reviews and share knowledge with the team
What Success at 6–12 Months Looks Like
You’re owning significant features end-to-end, from design through deployment
You’re helping shape technical direction for AI-native product experiences
You’re mentoring other engineers and collaborating to improve team practices
You’ve built strong partnerships with support and infrastructure to help triage bugs and quickly resolve production issues
The AI features you’ve built are measurably improving physician and patient outcomes
How We Work
A typical team at Elation includes 3–5 engineers, an engineering manager, a product manager, a UX designer, and QA working together on a specific product area. Engineers have autonomy over technical implementation decisions while partnering with Product on feature scope and priorities. You’ll own features end-to-end — from architecture and design through deployment and production support.
What We’re Looking For

5+ years of professional software development experience
Experience building APIs using modern backend technologies
Ability to communicate complex technical problems clearly to both technical and non-technical partners
Track record of delivering high-quality software projects

Experience building systems with AI/LLMs (OpenAI, Anthropic, etc.)
Experience with server-side technology including Python and MySQL
Experience deploying systems on AWS or other cloud providers
DevOps/observability experience or strong interest in learning
Knowledge of US healthcare industry and health tech
