About the Opportunity Ellucian is seeking a curious and motivated Engineering Intern to join our Agile development teams as we build scalable, cloud-based SaaS solutions that power the future of higher education. Hands-on with Tools: Gain exposure to front-end and back-end development, APIs, and cloud-based environments (e.g., AWS, Azure, or GCP). Shadow DevOps Practices: Observe and assist with CI/CD pipelines, version control (Git), and infrastructure-as-code basics. Code Quality: Learn how to write clean, maintainable code and contribute simple features, bug fixes, or tests. Problem-Solving: Practice debugging and troubleshooting by helping analyze issues and working through solutions alongside your mentor. AI in Action: Experiment with AI-assisted tools to streamline coding, testing, and documentation tasks. Agile Experience: Participate in Agile ceremonies—such as sprint planning and retrospectives—to see how collaborative software development happens day to day. What You’ll Bring Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field. Coursework or personal projects involving programming in languages such as JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, Java, or C#. Basic understanding of programming fundamentals: data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented design. Curiosity about web development, APIs, databases, or cloud technologies. Familiarity with Git or other version control systems is helpful, but not required. Enthusiasm for learning, openness to feedback, and a collaborative mindset. Bonus: Previous academic or personal project experience with React, REST/GraphQL APIs, or databases.
