Full-Stack Web Developer – Part-Time Freelance

Remote | Part-Time | Freelance / Contractor

We are looking for a Full-Stack Web Developer to join a web development project, with the majority of the work focused on backend development.

The ideal candidate will be a highly independent developer who can take ownership of tasks while collaborating closely with the Project Lead and an experienced Web Designer.

Key Responsibilities- Develop and maintain web applications, with a strong focus on backend development.- Work across the full stack when required.- Build and maintain integrations, APIs and CMS-based solutions.- Contribute to iOS and Android applications using React Native.- Follow secure, scalable and maintainable development practices.- Use Git and CI/CD workflows effectively.- Leverage AI-assisted development tools while maintaining high code quality and engineering standards.- Work independently and communicate effectively through Slack.

Tech Stack & Requirements- PHP, Python, Laravel, Symfony- MySQL, Apache- Next.js, TypeScript- Docker- React Native for iOS and Android- Git & CI/CD- Strong understanding of security-by-design- Experience working effectively with AI coding agents / AI-assisted development- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently- Italian language required

Engagement- Fully remote- Part-time freelance / contractor- Initially around 4 hours per day, with the workload expected to decrease over time.- Workload may vary significantly, with periods of high activity and periods of little or no work.- No fixed working hours or fixed monthly salary.- Compensation is based on the actual work performed.- The candidate must be able to invoice the company and therefore hold a valid Italian or EU VAT number.- Slack will be the primary communication channel.
