Description

ABOUT:

We are a remote-first climate tech start-up based in Germany that uses technology to advance the vision of a net-zero economy.
Simplifying calculations of carbon emissions is our aspiration, aiming to enable companies to take data-driven decision-making on lowering their carbon footprint as efficient and swift as possible, granting them transparency and control over their own emission reports.
As a Full-Stack Engineer, you will be collaborating with our engineering team on the development of a software geared towards a national research project called DiCES.
We are developing the model that decides the future of used products in order to balance economical and ecological constraints of the industry. The project is a circular economy milestone, enabling companies to make quick decisions on heavy hardware products.

Responsibilities

WHAT YOU DO:

  • Build high-quality, well-tested code that improves performance, scalability, and the user experience of our SaaS product.
  • Collaborate with product owners and engineers to turn requirements into features that balance business goals with technical trade-offs.
  • Engage in code reviews to foster a collaborative, feedback-driven, and growth-oriented environment.
  • Contribute to architectural and product discussions, helping shape the future of our platform.

YOU’LL THRIVE IN THIS ROLE IF YOU …

  • Have 2+ years of experience with TypeScript, Node.js, React, Postgres, AWS, and Git.
  • Care about developer experience and write automated tests (unit, integration, end-to-end) to keep code reliable and maintainable.
  • Enjoy collaborating in small, agile teams — shaping MVPs, pitching PoCs, and scaling them into production.
  • Show confidence and self-sufficiency to navigate the ambiguity of a startup environment.
  • Value servant leadership: mentoring peers, sharing knowledge, and helping others grow.
  • Are curious and eager to explore new tech, design systems, and modern architecture patterns.

THIS ROLE MAY NOT BE THE BEST FIT IF YOU …

  • Are based outside Germany or lack EU work authorization.
  • Have limited experience with Postgres (e.g., only via ORMs).
  • Haven’t worked in small engineering teams or collaborated on PoCs/MVPs.
