As a Software Engineer at CVS Health, you’ll play a crucial role in building and delivering high-quality software that enhances customer experiences. You’ll be involved in all phases of software engineering, from requirements analysis to deployment, while adhering to agile software development methodologies. Collaboration is key, as you’ll work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver integrated solutions that meet the evolving needs of our business.

As a Software Engineer, you will:

  • Develop services on top of GCP
  • Own the features you develop from engineering to supporting in production
  • Follow software best practices, such as CI/CD and automated testing
  • Develop, deploy, and maintain robust data pipelines on Google Cloud Platform (GCP), leveraging services like BigQuery and Composer (Apache Airflow).

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 1+ years of experience with designing and building software engineering solutions in cloud environments (preferably Google Cloud Platform)
  • 1+ years of experience in one or more modern languages, such as Python, Java, C#, JavaScript, SQL, etc.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Effective written and verbal communication skills within and across teams
  • Experience with complex systems and solving challenging analytical problems
  • Experience with Jenkins, Git, CI/CD pipeline, and other DevOps principles/best practices
  • Familiarity with different phases of software development lifecycle (SDLC)
  • Knowledge in GCP architecture, commands and experience designing & optimizing software and data engineering patterns in the GCP environment
  • Ability to leverage multiple tools and programming languages to analyze and manipulate data sets from disparate data sources
  • Proficient in APIs, microservices, and modern software patterns
  • Formal SAFe and/or agile experience. Previous healthcare experience and domain knowledge

EDUCATION:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Engineering, Data Analytics, Machine Learning, or related field required. Master’s Degree preferred.
