This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Full Stack Software Engineer (API Focus) in the United States. This role is responsible for developing and maintaining backend services and RESTful APIs for a nationwide platform that automates critical processes for millions of users. You will work in a secure, cloud-based environment to integrate multiple enterprise systems, ensuring high reliability, performance, and compliance. The position involves modernizing API architecture, collaborating with front-end and CRM teams, and contributing to both backend and front-end solutions. Ideal candidates will have strong experience with C#/.NET, Azure, SQL Server, and API security standards. This role supports Agile development practices, continuous integration, and delivery pipelines, offering the opportunity to work on impactful government technology solutions. Remote work is supported, with occasional travel to facilities as needed. \n Accountabilities Design, build, and maintain RESTful APIs and backend services using C#/.NET and Azure. Integrate and optimize data across multiple enterprise systems, ensuring scalability and reliability. Support modernization efforts for API architecture, observability, and performance enhancements. Implement and maintain security best practices, authentication/authorization protocols (OAuth2, FICAM), and data validation. Collaborate with front-end and CRM teams to ensure seamless integration and consistent user experience. Develop unit, integration, and performance tests and contribute to CI/CD automation. Troubleshoot and resolve API or integration issues in both production and test environments. Participate actively in Agile ceremonies, sprint planning, and iterative improvements. Requirements Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust Clearance or higher; current or recently lapsed VA Public Trust preferred. 6+ years of software engineering experience, with a focus on backend or API development. Strong proficiency in C#/.NET, SQL Server, and RESTful API design. Familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics 365 CRM and data integration patterns. Experience with Azure cloud infrastructure, containers, and CI/CD pipelines. Understanding of API security standards and federal compliance requirements. Exposure to VA or other large-scale government IT systems is a plus. Strong debugging, monitoring, and performance optimization skills.
