This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Full Stack Software Engineer – Billing Team in Germany. This role offers the opportunity to design and build mission-critical billing and metering systems in a fast-growing cloud environment. You will work across both frontend and backend technologies, integrating with multiple internal and external systems to deliver secure, scalable, and reliable solutions. Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams, you will influence business strategy through technical expertise and ownership of complex software projects. Accountabilities: · Design, develop, and maintain the cloud billing and metering platform, ensuring high availability and accuracy. · Build frameworks and platforms that abstract infrastructure complexity while remaining secure, efficient, and mature. · Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to define business requirements, user needs, and optimal technical solutions. · Integrate with various systems, including billing, metering, logging, monitoring, and support tools. · Lead and deliver large-scope technical projects with ownership from design to production. · Ensure observability, reliability, compliance, and security across all billing processes. · 5+ years of software development experience with front-end and cloud-based systems. · Hands-on experience leading and shipping complex technical projects in collaboration with multiple engineers. · Strong proficiency in TypeScript, Node.js, React, Serverless frameworks, EKS, SQS, and MongoDB; experience with multiple languages preferred. · Solid understanding of billing concepts, including credit card processing, usage-based billing, CSP marketplaces (AWS, GCP, Azure), invoicing, sales tax, auditing, and record-keeping. · Experience building and operating high-scale, distributed systems across the full software lifecycle. · Expertise with at least one public cloud provider (AWS, GCP, Azure) and its infrastructure services. · Excellent problem-solving, production debugging, and communication skills. · Self-motivated, able to thrive in a fast-paced environment, with high ownership and accountability. · Flexible remote work environment across Germany and globally distributed teams. · Employer contributions towards healthcare. · Equity in the company through stock options. · Flexible time off and generous leave entitlement. · $500 home office setup for remote employees. · Opportunities for in-person global gatherings and team offsites. · Chance to shape company culture as part of an early, high-impact team.
