OVERVIEW

We are seeking a talented full-stack software engineer with a focus in PHP, custom WordPress plugins, AI integration, and Python for a great client in Colorado Springs. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining multiple custom WordPress plugins for an AI-based cybersecurity focused Progressive Web Application (PWA). The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of AI concepts, LLMs and RAG, AI APIs, web development, and be proficient in PHP, MySQL, Python, and other web programming languages and software development processes. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions that meet the needs of our clients. This is a full time role.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Minimum 7 years of software development experience with a minimum of 5 years WordPress and custom PHP plugin/template development
• Proven track record delivering scalable web applications built on WordPress
• Expertise in custom WordPress plugin and page template development
• Strong experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP, and MySQL schema development
• Expertise with secure REST APIs and AJAX
• Experience integrating AI technologies into a PHP application specifically using the OpenAI API
• Familiarity with Python and AWS Lambda Functions
• Familiarity integrating cloud-based SMTP and SMS services
• Familiarity with Progressive Web Application (PWA) development
• Infrastructure and hosting platform maintenance experience
• Solid understanding of Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA)
• Experience in both small and large organizations
• Entrepreneurial mindset and ability to create processes
• Knowledge of software development methodologies, including Agile practices, GitHub, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Ability to work hybrid (3 days in office) in Colorado Springs
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment while managing individual tasks effectively.

  Pay: $130,000.00 - $160,000.00 per year

Work Location: Hybrid remote in Colorado Springs, CO 8090

• Work closely with the product team to deliver high-quality software for a Q1 launch
• Provide expertise to define, document, and own an agile Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) including GitHub repositories, Projects, functional and security testing, and future CI/CD pipelines
• Develop and maintain a web application (includes PWA functionality) built in WordPress and PHP
• Develop and maintain AI supporting algorithms using Python and AWS Lambda Functions accessed via REST APIs
• Troubleshoot and debug applications to ensure optimal performance across all mainstream operating systems and mobile devices.
• Write clean, maintainable code while adhering to best practices in software development.
• Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to peers.
• Stay updated with emerging technologies and industry trends to continuously improve skills
