Full Stack Web Developer (Node.js / React / Next.js) - Exp 5+ Years - Bangsar KL - Hybrid Role Description This is a full-time hybrid role for a Full Stack Web Developer (Full Stack) based in Bangsar, with flexibility for some remote work. Web Developer will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining web applications. Daily tasks include implementing front-end and back-end functionality, optimising web performance, troubleshooting technical issues, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions. The role requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and a commitment to staying up to date with the latest web development technologies and trends. Key Responsibilities Web & Frontend Development ● Develop and maintain web applications using React and Next.js ● Implement SSR/SSG/ISR for SEO, performance, and scalability ● Ensure responsive, mobile-first design and cross-browser compatibility ● Optimise frontend performance and page load speed (Core Web Vitals) Backend & API Development ● Design and develop APIs using Node.js (REST and/or GraphQL) ● Implement authentication, authorisation, and secure API access ● Integrate with third-party services, payment gateways, analytics, and CMS platforms ● Write backend scripts for automation, data processing, and maintenance tasks CMS & Content Platform Management ● Work with headless CMS platforms (e.g. WordPress, Strapi, Payload, or similar) ● Support content publishing workflows for editorial teams ● Maintain CMS security, performance, and uptime ● Implement cache invalidation, content sync, and deployment best practices Database & Infrastructure ● Design and maintain databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, or Redis ● Optimise queries, indexes, and data structures ● Manage backups, migrations, and data integrity ● Work with cloud infrastructure on AWS, GCP, or equivalent platforms Operations & Best Practices ● Participate in deployment, monitoring, and incident resolution ● Work with CI/CD pipelines and containerisation (Docker) ● Apply best practices for security, scalability, and maintainability ● Conduct code reviews and mentor junior engineers when required Required Skills & Experience Must-Have ● 5+ years of experience in full stack web development ● Strong hands-on experience with Node.js ● Strong experience with React and Next.js ● Solid knowledge of JavaScript (ES6+), HTML, CSS ● Experience building and maintaining production APIs ● Experience working with relational and/or NoSQL databases ● Experience with CMS or content-driven websites ● Good understanding of website operations, performance, and security ● Comfortable working in a Linux/server environment Good to Have (Regional Advantage) ● Experience with high-traffic or media/content platforms ● Experience using Cloudflare, CloudFront, or similar CDN ● Familiarity with TypeScript ● Exposure to legacy systems and platform modernisation ● Understanding of SEO and analytics tools (GA, Chartbeat, etc.) Soft Skills ● Strong sense of ownership and accountability ● Practical, solution-oriented mindset ● Able to communicate clearly with non-technical stakeholders ● Comfortable working in lean teams with overlapping responsibilities ● Able to balance speed, quality, and operational stabilit
