Lyons Timber Mart is currently seeking a Full Time and Part Time Order Desk Associate to join our roster. You will work out of our Wellington St. West location.
Lyons Ltd. has been part of the community since 1913 – today, we continue the tradition of being a family-owned business serving Algoma as Island Timber Mart Kent’s Corner, Lyons Timber Mart Black Rd., and Lyons Timber Mart Wellington.
The ideal candidate will find excitement in joining a team who provides customers with quality products, expert advice, and exceptional service.
QUALIFICATIONS:
· Ability to lift up to 50lbs safely and regularly.
· Experience working in construction, building material sales, or related industry.
· Strong product knowledge of building materials
· Some electrical and plumbing knowledge
· Masonry and landscaping knowledge is an asset.
· Ability to maintain good working relationships with customers, suppliers, and colleagues.
· Positive attitude and willingness to learn
· Weekend and weekday availability is a must.

· Provide customers with knowledge and advice for their projects
· Complete all aspects of sales process from start to finish including selection of products and services, sales input, coordinating pickup and/or delivery of goods and services
· Provide general customer service/order desk support
· Maintain customer files and follow-up with customers after projects have been completed
· Answer customer inquiries by phone and email
· Assist with other duties as required or assigned by management
