Full Time Armed Security Officer Primary Location: Brighton, CO Wage: $25.80/HR Securitas plays an essential role for our clients and in society. The Armed Security Officer position helps maintain a safe and secure environment for our clients by actively monitoring the premises, including patrolling a variety of locations. They preserve order while enforcing regulations and directives for a client site pertaining to personnel, visitors, and the area. Job Duties: * Patrol assigned site on foot or in a vehicle; check for unsafe conditions, hazards, unlocked doors, security violations, blocked entrances and exits, mechanical problems, and unauthorized persons. * Respond to emergency situations where rapid and effective judgment, appropriate escalation and use of force is required. * Work directly with law enforcement, government staffing and the community. * Write detailed incident reports on unauthorized entries, suspicious activity, emergency situations, and any other observed issues. * Security screen all persons coming through the public entrance to ensure prohibited items are not entering facilities. * Monitor surveillance cameras. Basic Requirements: * 21 years of age or older. * High School Diploma, GED, OR ability to complete the GED program within 6 months. * Above average computer / technology skills needed - tablet, computer, or smartphone. * Impeccable customer service and team leadership skills needed. * Must be able to remain calm and professional in stressful situations. * Must have great attention to detail and remain vigilant throughout shift. * All candidates must be willing to participate in the Company’s pre-employment screening process, including drug screen and background investigation. * Must be able to meet and continue to meet any applicable state, county and municipal licensing and permit requirements for Security Officers. * With or without reasonable accommodation, the physical and mental requirements of this job may include the following: seeing, hearing, speaking, and writing clearly. * Occasional reaching with hands and arms, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling. * Frequent sitting, standing, and walking, which may be required for long periods of time, and may involve climbing stairs and walking up inclines and on uneven terrain. * Additional physical requirements may include frequent lifting and/or moving up to 10 pounds and occasional lifting and/or moving up to 25 pounds. * 2 - 5 years of armed experience (Military, LEO, or Armed Security). * Must pass pre-hire testing assignment and shooting qualification. * Must have a reliable personal vehicle. * Must have the legal right to work in the United States. * Must have the ability to speak, read, and write English. * Must be able to provide the office with a reliable phone number where the officer can be reached at all times (i.e. cellular). * Must be reliable, accountable, punctual, and have a strong work ethic. * Must have a strong grasp of appropriate and professional verbal/written communication. * Conflict resolution and de-escalation skills a plus. * Must be able to interact with a wide range of individuals in a professional manner. * Must be able to conduct patrols throughout shift. * Must be comfortable conducting access control duties.
