JOB OVERVIEW

Bethel Social Club are looking for a new full time Bartender, with the main responsibilities including that of opening and closing, dealing with cash and also being a proactive member of our team.
The position would require you to work a minimum of 36 hours a week spread out across weekdays, weekends and evenings. We are open Sunday - Thursdays from 12 until 11:30, closing at 12:30 on both Friday and Saturday. As we are open 7 days a week, a punctual and flexible candidate is what we are looking for.
We are a relatively small team with 3 full time members and 2 part timers and on entertainment nights (Saturdays) we can get extremely busy. The ability to work amongst a team as well as coping with the demand of customers is a must-have quality we are looking for. All in all we want somebody who is reliable and dedicated yet also relaxed enough to socialise with members and have a laugh.
Shifts range from 6 hour evenings to 12 hour days. Please only apply if you think you can handle the long hours. Also note that if you open, you’ll be working on your own and expected to be dealing with serving, taking payments and making sure the bar is stocked and clean for service until other staff join you later on the day.

Main duties will include:

• Opening and closing the bar; including cashing up, cleaning, locking up.
• Restocking what we sell.
• Keeping the bar presentable, tidy and clean.
• Emptying bottle bins and clearing cardboard.
• Being able to work busy periods effectively.

Experience is not a must, but a proactive attitude is expected once training has been given.
