REQUIREMENTS:

• A friendly and energetic personality with customer service focus.
• Excellent communications and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to lift merchandise weighing up to 35 pounds.
• Familiarity with inventory procedures.
• Hands-on experience with POS transactions.
• Proven experience as a Shift Leader or relevant managerial role.
• Able to give clear directions and set expectations for staff.
• Capacity to train and develop team members.
• Ability to properly assess a situation quickly while keeping a professional and calm demeanor.
• Knowledge of the industry and relevant health and safety regulations.
• Experience in Retail stores is an asset.
• Greet guests as they enter the shop, ask whether they would like assistance with anything and provide help if needed in a friendly, hospitable and efficient manner.
• Delivering excellent service to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
• Ability to multitask, while being attentive to customers and remaining flexible to the needs of the business.
• Operate a cash register and perform related tasks, including cash handling, credit card processing and opening and closing of the register when on the first or last shift of the day; prepare bank deposits.
• Knowledge of customer and market dynamics and requirements.
• Remain knowledgeable about and answer questions related to merchandise, sales, promotions and store policy.
• Straighten, arrange, stock and dust off merchandise, maintain shelving areas as directed by management and participate in the designing of displays in windows and on tables.
• Ability to work as part of a team and take initiative independent of direct supervision.
• Provide direction and feedback to workers during shifts.
• Alerts the management of potential security issues.
• Ensure health and safety standards are followed.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
