Position Summary
The Full-Time Bookkeeper and Customer Service Representative will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing accounts, and delivering high-quality customer service. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate effectively with clients and team members. Bookkeeping Duties

  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries.
  • Transaction Processing: Process invoices, payments, and expense reimbursements in a timely manner.
  • Reconciliation: Perform regular bank and credit card reconciliations to ensure accuracy of financial data.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local financial regulations, including tax filings and reporting requirements.

Customer Service Duties

  • Client Communication: Respond to customer inquiries via phone, email, and in-person interactions in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Issue Resolution: Address and resolve customer complaints or concerns promptly, escalating complex issues to management when necessary.
  • Order Management: Process customer orders, returns, and refunds accurately, ensuring a seamless customer experience.
  • Relationship Building: Build and maintain positive relationships with clients to foster loyalty and repeat business.
  • Data Entry: Update customer records in the CRM system, ensuring all information is accurate and current.
  • Support Team Collaboration: Work closely with other departments to ensure customer needs are met and financial processes align with company goals.

Qualifications

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; associate’s or bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field preferred.
  • Experience:
  • 2+ years of bookkeeping or accounting experience is preferred.
  • Technical Skills:
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g. QuickBooks, Xero, or similar).
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Familiarity with CRM systems is a plus.
  • Soft Skills:
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively under tight deadlines.
  • High level of integrity and professionalism when handling sensitive financial and customer information.
  • Certifications: Bookkeeping or accounting certifications (e.g., Certified Bookkeeper) are a plus but not required.

Work Environment
