Description The Tru by Hilton Brunswick is looking for a full-time, Chief Engineer to manage maintenance technicians and ensure the overall operation of the building. The Job A typical day for the Chief Engineer includes responding to any maintenance requests from either guests or co-workers. You will be responsible for planning preventative maintenance measures and managing the maintenance technicians on staff for the day. Job Duties Include: Maintain all electrical and mechanical equipment used in heating, air-conditioning, refrigeration, water-supply, and power systems. Comply with the preventative maintenance schedule and program. Supervise employees in the maintenance area including staffing, training and performance management. Ensure all work is completed to customer satisfaction with quick and effective resolution of problems and complaints. Prepare and adhere to maintenance and equipment budget. Secure and review bids from outside contractors. Other duties as assigned What would make me successful in this role? Requirements Required Skills & Experience Hotel experience preferred 1 plus years in hospitality maintenance. Supervisory experience preferred. Ability to work weekends and holidays Undergraduate degree or equivalent job-related experience. Verbal and written communication skills.
