Responsibilities

We are looking for a dynamic full-time Community Inclusion Supervisor who will be responsible to guide and support all aspects of the Respite and Passport service including the supervision of Community Inclusion Workers, to ensure adults and children with a developmental disability participate in meaningful on site and in community respite and social inclusion activities. The Supervisor will support the team in the provision of trauma and attachment informed services that is welcoming and safe, where our clients and their families can find solutions to help reach their potential and support their goals of participating more fully in their community through work, play and friendship.
Due to our 4-Day Work Week, this role initially will rotate days off – Mondays-Wednesdays-Fridays on a monthly basis with plans to solidify a constant day off.

Supervisory duties:

  • – Monitor and improve employee performance by establishing individual performance expectations, providing timely feedback to staff through regular supervision meetings, coaching employees, and completing performance reviews that align with key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • – In collaboration with the Manager, provide timely and effective orientation for new staff in accordance with the agency’s policies and procedures.
  • – Participate in Human Resource activities including recruiting, screening, selecting, hiring, professional development, and taking disciplinary action as necessary, and completing performance appraisals.– Maintain a visible presence for staff and ensure coaching and mentoring as required.
