Description Full-time Day Porter and Custodian - School Location: Bordeaux Area (Nashville, TN) Department: Custodial - ServiceFM LLC Reports To: Facility Manager and Custodial Supervisor Employment Type: Hourly, Full-Time (Non-Exempt) Compensation: $17.00 per hour + benefits Position Summary: ServiceFM LLC is hiring a dependable and detail-oriented Full-Time Day Porter and Custodian to support daily custodial and housekeeping operations at a large residential and community facility. This role is essential to maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for residents, staff, and visitors. The ideal candidate is proactive, reliable, and takes pride in maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Perform general custodial duties, including cleaning, sanitizing, sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and trash removal. Maintain the cleanliness of common areas such as dining halls, kitchens,, restrooms, break rooms, hallways,offices, stairwells, and entrances. Assist with room preparation and deep cleaning of bedrooms, showers, and mattress coverings for new occupants. Clean and organize pantries and storage areas. Maintain floors and carpets as required. Help secure building entrances during assigned shifts and promptly report safety or maintenance concerns. Work Schedule: Monday – Friday: 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM (with a 30-minute unpaid lunch break) Total Hours: 40 hours per week Occasional overtime or weekend work may be required for special events Requirements Previous custodial or janitorial experience is required Consistent and reliable attendance, with strong punctuality Must successfully pass a background check to work in a school environment Physically capable of performing labor-intensive tasks, including walking, bending, stretching, lifting up to 50 pounds, pulling, and pushing Demonstrates a strong work ethic, professionalism, and customer service mindset Works well independently and as part of a team Able to accurately track and log work hours using a smartphone or mobile device Perks and Benefits: Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance Health Savings Account (HSA) Life Insurance Voluntary Benefits, including: Short-Term Disability & Long-Term Disability Accident Insurance Critical Illness Insurance Paid Time Off (PTO): 1 week per year, accrued proportionally Custodian Incentive Bonus: Earn up to an additional $0.55/hour every 6 months based on performance Birthday Gift: $25 gift card on your birthday Employee Referral Bonus Benefits Eligibility: Must work a minimum of 30 hours per week.
