Description Join our team as an assistant working in an amazing infant or toddler room. Our assistants help to provide a safe, nurturing and exciting learning environment. Assistants will supervise children, keep the classroom organized and communicate with parents. Assistants work with a team of other lead and assistant teachers to make sure everything runs smoothly. Our school is located at 12320 Nall Avenue in Overland Park. Responsibilities Provide for the health and safety of all children in the school Treat children with dignity, respect, and compassion at all times Provide support to teachers through lesson plan implementation, daily cleaning tasks, and supervision of children Cultivate and maintain a positive relationship with parents Maintain KDHE requirements in classrooms at all times. Attend training and professional development opportunities as assigned Requirements High School diploma or Equivalent (Required) Experience working with children (Preferred) Physical Requirements Job requires frequent (2-5 hours per shift) standing, walking, carrying and repetitive motions and occasional (up to 2 hours per shift) sitting, lifting up to 20 pounds, pushing/pulling, climbing and stooping/crouching.
