DUTIES:

• Assemble, cook, prepare and package a variety of ready to eat food items in a timely manner.
• Complete all necessary closing duties each night to ensure the deli department is clean and food safe.
• Stocking & facing retail items
• Baking and packaging pastries
• Receiving and tracking retail items and their best before dates.
• Maintain deli cleanliness standards, and keeps products looking up to Urban Grocer Standards
• Performs other related duties as required.

OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

• Provide feedback for continuous improvement
• Ability to work independently and self-motivated. Working alone is frequent, and the priorities and needs of the department are to be met without supervision.
• Practice food safety standards in compliance with the Vancouver Island Health Authority.
