We are currently hiring for a full time Deli/Shop assistant for our Costcutter Togher store .

Your responsibilities will include, maintaining food safety standards, managing food waste, training staff, increasing sales.
Candidates must be available to start work from 6am

The successful candidate will have:

• A minimum of two years’ experience in a busy hospitality environment
• Have excellent customer service outlook
• Proficiency in English
• Maintain high standards of culinary skills in preparation, cooking and presentation of all food.
• To assist in taking physical stock, controlling stock rotation and preparing potential food costs.
• To assist in producing a maintenance and cleaning schedule allocating specific duties to ensure the hygiene, cleanliness and tidiness of the Kitchen areas.
• Ensure that all aspects of Health and Safety, Hygiene, welfare, by-laws, fire regulations, emergency procedure etc.
• To help control quality of food produce, portions served, plating and waste.
• To help ensure a good working relationship with suppliers and colleagues.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

• Previous experience in a similar role is preferred
• Strong understanding of food safety regulations
• Passionate about fresh food product and using local produce
• Additional qualifications in food safety or retail management would be advantageous.
