Position: Dental Assistant (DA) Full Time (30-35 Hours/week) Reports to: Practice Manager FLSA Status: Non-Exempt Core Competencies Exceptional personal and professional patient welfare Cross function adaptability Radical transparency in operations Outstanding communication (written & verbal) Predictive patient empathy Dedicated to total patient satisfaction Roles and Responsibilities The Dental Assistant's primary responsibility will be to provide clinical hands-on support to any and all providers in the office within their means. Beyond their primary responsibility, they'll be expected to be an overall team player, helping whereever needed. Duties include, but are not limited to: Assist General Dentists and Specialists in a 4-handed dentistry manner Take quality digital radipgraphs Serve our patients with empathy, provide understanding of dental procedures, pre & post operative instructions, and ensure handoff to front desk is seamless Provide and maintain OSHA standard cleanliness and safety in the workplace Sterilize instruments and turn over rooms for providers Communicate inventory needs to lead assistant Maintenance of dental equipment (IE: flush vacuum lines, change amalgam seperator, change filters, clean traps, etc) Other duties as assigned Required Qualifications and Skills H.S. Diploma or Equivalent 4 handed dentistry dental assisting experience (1+ years) In-depth knowledge of patient privacy, health, and safety regulations in this profession (e.g., HIPAA, OSHA) Coachable Willing to serve the Practice with a flexible schedule Preferred Qualifications and Skills Experience working with EagleSoft Software, but not necessary Knowledge of insurance benefits (PPO) and how to decipher breakdown's
