OVERVIEW

Position: Full-Time Secondary English Teacher
Location: Lynn-Rose School (Mississauga)
Contract: September – June (10-month contract)
Start Date: September 2nd, 2025
Salary Range: $48,000 – $50,000 annually
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.

QUALIFICATIONS

· Bachelor’s Degree in English, Education, or a related field (preferred)
· Ontario College of Teachers (OCT) certification, or equivalent (preferred)
· Experience teaching secondary English (Grades 9–12) strongly preferred
· Strong classroom management, organizational, and communication skills
· Demonstrated ability to integrate technology into teaching and learning
· Commitment to student success, equity, and well-being

Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Secondary English Teacher to join our team. The successful candidate will teach primarily Grades 9–12 English, with the opportunity to integrate technology and social studies into instruction. This is a full-time position running from September through June, with potential for renewal.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

· Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons in secondary English (Grades 9–12).
· Incorporate technology to enhance student learning and meet curriculum goals.
· Assess, evaluate, and provide meaningful feedback on student progress.
· Support students in developing literacy, communication, and critical thinking skills.
· Contribute to extracurricular activities, school events, and IB initiatives.
· Collaborate with colleagues to develop curriculum and share best practices.
· Maintain a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment.
