QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS REQUIRED

Educational Requirements

  • Minimum: Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a closely related field.
  • Preferred: Ph.D. in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a relevant discipline.

Experience & Expertise

  • At least 3–5 years of teaching experience at the tertiary level.
  • Expertise in one or more IT-related areas such as Programming, Data Science, Cybersecurity, Software Engineering, Cloud Computing, or Database Systems.
  • Professional certifications and industry experience are highly valued.

Technical & Soft Skills

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong presentation, technical demonstration, and classroom management abilities.
  • Proficiency with programming languages, development tools, educational technologies, and LMS platforms.
  • Commitment to research, continuous learning, and student-centered pedagogy.
  • Collaborative mindset and ability to thrive in a multicultural academic environment.

Responsibilities
  1. Teaching & Student Engagement
  • Deliver high-quality lectures and facilitate interactive classroom sessions aligned with institutional standards.
  • Design and implement effective lesson plans, instructional materials, and assessment tools.
  • Apply real-world IT scenarios, coding labs, case studies, and technology-driven learning methods to foster student engagement.

  • Evaluate student progress through various assessment formats, offering constructive feedback.
  • Address academic inquiries and support students in overcoming technical learning challenges.
  1. Curriculum Development & Industry Alignment
  • Contribute to the development and refinement of IT curriculum to reflect emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices.
  • Infuse coursework with contemporary topics such as cloud computing, cybersecurity, AI/ML, software engineering, and data analytics.
  • Collaborate with academic teams to promote interdisciplinary, project-based, and experiential learning strategies.
  1. Research & Scholarly Contribution
  • Conduct and publish research in relevant areas of computer science and information technology.
  • Supervise student research and support scholarly initiatives within the department.
  • Actively participate in academic conferences, workshops, and collaborative research efforts.

  • Participate in academic committees, departmental meetings, and institutional development initiatives.
