Description Position: Family Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant Reports to: Medical Director (as assigned) Summary: Urgent Care Physicians of New Jersey LLC provides immediate medical care to those in need throughout the Atlantic Health Urgent Care Network. We are seeking Family Nurse Practitioners or Physician Assistants for our urgent care center in the Newton and Sparta regions. Prior urgent care experience is required. Sites operate 8am-8pm 7 days/wk. Must be available to work every other weekend. Job Duties and Responsibilities: • Provide and manage direct patient care, including physical examinations and the counseling of patients towards compliance with treatment • Order diagnostic tests, such as x-rays, electrocardiograms, and laboratory tests, and interpret results accordingly • Perform therapeutic procedures such as incision and drainage, splinting, suturing, infection management and wound care • Prescribe pharmaceuticals and treatment regimens as appropriate to assessed medical conditions • Develop and implement patient management plans, record progress notes, and, moreover, deliver continuity of care (including referral of patients to specialists and to other relevant patient care components, as medically necessary and appropriate) • Regularly communicate with patients regarding testing results, follow-up care, and additional information • Willing to support practice operations, such as triaging patients, when necessary • Willing to travel to other sites when necessary Compensation: • Medical through Cigna (multiple tiers depending on coverage and cost desires) • Vision and Dental through Principal & VSP • 401k through Voya, company match availability after 1 year of service and 1000 hours worked • Life Insurance provided by the company 50k • Accident, Cancer, Hospital, and Disability insurance are available through Aflac • Additional voluntary benefits like short term disability insurance, cancer insurance, hospital insurance, critical illness insurance, supplemental life, etc. are also offered through Aflac • Critical Illness, Supplemental Life, and Accident insurance are available through Principal • PTO & NJ Sick • Hourly range listed below Requirements • License (unrestricted and in good standing) in the State of New Jersey • Controlled dangerous substance registration with the State of New Jersey • Registration with the Drug Enforcement Administration of the U.S. Department of Justice • DOT certified within first 6 months of employment • Excellent interpersonal communication skills • Excellent team skills
