Must be available to work every other weekend*** Position: Family Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant Reports to: Medical Director (as assigned) Summary: Urgent Care Physicians of New Jersey LLC provides urgent care in the State of New Jersey. Our Immediate Care company office is in Red Bank, NJ. We are seeking family nurse practitioners for our urgent care centers willing to work within the county for a homebase site of Toms River. Prior urgent care or walk-in center experience required. As a rapidly growing company, there are advancement and professional development opportunities. Compensation commensurate with experience. Job Duties and Responsibilities: • Provide and manage direct patient care, including physical examinations and the counseling of patients towards compliance with treatment. • Order diagnostic tests, such as x-rays, electrocardiograms, and laboratory tests, and interpret results accordingly. • Perform therapeutic procedures such as incision and drainage, splinting, suturing, infection management and wound care. • Prescribe pharmaceuticals and treatment regimens as appropriate to assessed medical conditions. • Develop and implement patient management plans, record progress notes, and, moreover, deliver continuity of care (including referral of patients to specialists and to other relevant patient care components, as medically necessary and appropriate). • Regularly communicate with patients regarding testing results, follow-up care, and additional information. Requirements • License (unrestricted and in good standing) in the State of New Jersey • Controlled dangerous substance registration with the State of New Jersey • Registration with the Drug Enforcement Administration of the U.S. Department of Justice • Excellent interpersonal communication skills • Excellent teamwork skills • Must be willing to float dependent upon the needs of the operation
