Description Position: Family Nurse Practitioner Reports to: Medical Director (as assigned) Summary: Urgent Care Physicians of New Jersey LLC provides urgent care to those in need for Atlantic Health Urgent Care. We are seeking Family Nurse Practitioners for Urgent Care centers situated throughout New Jersey, particularly, Springfield NJ. Prior urgent care or walk-in center experience is preferred. One (1) year experience in family medicine and/or clinical setting is required. As a rapidly growing company, there are advancement and professional development opportunities. Job Duties and Responsibilities: • Provide and manage direct patient care, including physical examinations and the counseling of patients towards compliance with treatment • Order diagnostic tests, such as x-rays, electrocardiograms, and laboratory tests, and interpret results accordingly • Perform therapeutic procedures such as incision and drainage, splinting, suturing, infection management and wound care • Prescribe pharmaceuticals and treatment regimens as appropriate to assessed medical conditions • Develop and implement patient management plans, record progress notes, and, moreover, deliver continuity of care (including referral of patients to specialists and to other relevant patient care components, as medically necessary and appropriate) • Regularly communicate with patients regarding testing results, follow-up care, and additional information • Willing to travel to other sites Compensation: • Medical through Cigna (multiple tiers depending on coverage and cost desires) • Vision and Dental through Principal & VSP • PTO & NJ Sick Time • 401k through Voya, company match availability after 1 year of service and 1000 hours worked • Life Insurance provided by the company 50k • Accident, Cancer, Hospital, and Disability insurance are available through Aflac • Additional voluntary benefits like short term disability insurance, cancer insurance, hospital insurance, critical illness insurance, supplemental life, etc. are also offered through Aflac • Critical Illness, Supplemental Life, and Accident insurance are available through Principal • Hourly range listed below Requirements • License (unrestricted and in good standing) as a registered professional nurse in the State of New Jersey • Certified by the New Jersey, Board of Nursing as an advanced practice nurse. Family Nurse Practitioner certification • Controlled dangerous substance registration with the State of New Jersey • Registration with the Drug Enforcement Administration of the U.S. Department of Justice • DOT certified, or willing to be DOT certified within 6 mos. of hire • Excellent communication skills • Excellent team skills
