FULL-TIME FEMALE SUPPORT WORKER – SUPPORTED INDEPENDENT LIVING (SIL) HOUSE

Location: East Cannington, WA
(Rostered 24-hour shift cycle, including inactive sleepover)
Schedule:
6:45 AM - 3:15 PM
8 AM - 2:30 PM
3 PM - 9:15 PM
5 PM - 8 PM
9 PM - 7:15 AM next day (10 PM - 6 AM is inactive sleepover shift)
About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced female support worker to join our Supported Independent Living (SIL) house in East Cannington. SIL services provide 24/7 supports in a shared home environment, enabling participants to live as independently as possible while receiving assistance with daily living, personal care, and skill development.
This position involves a 24-hour shift cycle, which includes an inactive sleepover shift from 10:00 PM – 6:00 AM, along with active support hours during the day and evening.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide personal care, including showering, grooming, and daily living support.
  • Safely operate Full Hoist and Sara Steady for transfers and mobility support.
  • Assist with medication administration (Med Com) in accordance with care plans.
  • Prepare nutritious meals and assist residents with cooking and meal planning.
  • Promote independence and skill development in line with individual goals.
  • Maintain accurate documentation, including progress notes and incident reports.
  • Support residents during day, evening, and overnight routines, ensuring safety at all times.

Requirements

  • Female staff only (to meet participant preference).
  • Proven experience in a Supported Independent Living (SIL) house setting (mandatory).
  • Experience with personal care, Full Hoist, Sara Steady, and mobility supports.
  • Strong cooking skills and household management ability.
  • Experience with medication administration (Med Com).
  • Certificate III or IV in Disability / Community Services (or equivalent).
  • Current NDIS Worker Screening Check, First Aid & CPR certificate.
  • Manual Handling training and confidence with assistive equipment.
  • Driver’s licence and reliable transport.
  • Strong English communication skills, reliability, and professionalism.

Job Type: Casual
Pay: $33.00 – $40.00 per hour
