SUMMARY

The Financial Analyst is responsible for providing financial planning, analysis, and reporting support to ensure the fiscal health of the Home Health and Hospice agency. This role involves analyzing financial data, preparing budgets and forecasts, identifying cost-saving opportunities, and supporting compliance with healthcare regulations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in healthcare finance, preferably with experience in home health and hospice operations.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field (Master’s or CPA preferred).
  • 3+ years of experience in financial analysis, preferably within a healthcare or home health/hospice environment.
  • Strong knowledge of Medicare/Medicaid reimbursement methodologies and healthcare financial regulations.
  • Proficiency in financial software and systems (e.g., QuickBooks, Microsoft Excel, EHR/EMR platforms).
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a hybrid, fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities
  • Analyze financial performance, trends, and metrics to support strategic planning and decision-making.
  • Prepare and maintain monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for leadership and external stakeholders.

Develop and manage budgets and financial forecasts in collaboration with department heads.

  • Track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs), including census data, payer mix, reimbursement rates, and operational costs.
  • Provide financial insights related to Medicare, Medicaid, and private insurance reimbursement models.
  • Assist with cost analysis, profitability studies, and rate setting for services.
  • Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting in compliance with GAAP and healthcare regulations.
  • Participate in audits and assist in the preparation of audit documentation.
  • Support revenue cycle management by analyzing billing data and identifying areas of improvement.
  • Collaborate with clinical and administrative teams to align financial goals with operational strategies.
