To deliver a great guest experience – The Front Desk Agent will make sure they have all they need for a great stay.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • 1-2 years previous front office experience is preferred.
  • Fosse experience preferred
  • Candidates must be flexible to work all shifts such as mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays.
  • Candidates must possess excellent interpersonal, communication, and writing skills.
  • Must possess strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Must possess an outstanding level of customer service with a guest focus, be punctual, well-organized and have a keen eye for detail.
  • Must have excellent attention to details.
  • Must be able to stand for long periods of time

Responsibilities
  • Reports to work well groomed, in a clean, proper uniform, and at all times practices good personal hygiene.
  • Operates the front office computer systems, posts all guest charges and payments incurred during shift, and balanced shift totals, by department, to back up documents.
  • Prepares guest keys using key envelopes.
  • Ensures all guest registration cards are correctly completed and filed by room number.
  • Checks guests in: greets guest, gets name, finds reservation, room type etc. Confirms room rate with guest, checks authorization of credit card.
  • Balances and audits for accuracy room revenue, food and beverage revenue and telephone revenue; assists in the preparation of all reports relevant to daily revenues.
  • Completes and transmits daily management and accounting reports and supporting documents;
  • Communicates with other hotel departments as necessary to resolve accounting discrepancies and to request or provide information.
  • Responds to any questions, provides maps and information as needed such as local restaurants, entertainment and attractions.
  • Performs check out tasks: including confirming billing, taking payment, asking for future reservations and printing receipts.
  • Takes reservations on the phone.
  • Maintains cashier float as supplied, provides currency exchange for guests and prepares cash deposit. Reports any overages and shortages on a daily basis.
  • Communicates with housekeeping in order to deal with early check-ins, late check-outs, day rooms, unexpected departures, stay-overs and room changes.
  • Programs wake –up calls.
  • Follows rules and regulations of the hotel.
  • Performs additional duties assigned by Management.
