We are seeking a reliable and customer-focused Front of house (FOH) staff member to join our team. As a FOH member, you will play a crucial role in ensuring a positive dining experience for our guests. Your main responsibilities will include: providing excellent customer service; maintaining cleanliness and organisation in the dining area; delivering dishes to customers, from our kitchen; preparing hot and cold drinks, and working on our coffee machine - for which full training is given.
It is often quite demanding work, but usually fun, too; almost half our staff have returned to us following periods of working elsewhere.
The position requires that you are available every weekend. Shifts are daytime only, typically with the earliest start being 07:30 and the latest finish being 16:30, though usually those starting earlier finish earlier.
Breaks are paid, and a 20 minute break with a meal is given during any shift of 5 hours or more.
The position starts on the living wage, but may start higher depending on experience. Service charge paid on top of this, after an initial 2 week training period. The service charge is typically from £3.5 to £4 per hour.
You will be working alongside the location manager/supervisor, both of whom will be training and assisting you in reaching your full potential within our organisation.
Experience required:
- Previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting is required
- Barista experience useful but not essential
- Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication skills and ability to interact with guests in a friendly manner
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail
- Knowledge of food safety guidelines and procedures is a plus, but we provide food safety and allergen training to all staff
