The rose and crown is a country gastropub located in ashdon. We have a cosy bar and restaurant area. Alongside the pub is a lovely outside space and a car park. We offer an extensive menu as well as a popular Sunday roast.
We are looking to take on over 18 full time front of house staff member to fill a variety of shifts including daytimes, evenings and weekends. Throughout your role you will be hands on with customers to ensure they have an excellent experience when they visit us. You will be required to serve drinks, take food orders and run food from the kitchen as well as cleaning duties.
Experience is not required as full training is given. You will be required to work weekends but you would not work all weekend I,e. A Saturday or a Sunday.
Full training is provided so experience is not compulsory.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Previous experience in a customer service role or hospitality environment is preferred but not essential.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to engage positively with guests.
  • A proactive attitude with excellent organisational abilities.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as required.

Responsibilities
  • Greet and welcome guests upon arrival, ensuring a warm and friendly atmosphere.
  • Manage reservations and seating arrangements to optimise guest flow.
  • Provide menu information and assist guests with their selections, offering recommendations as needed.
  • Take orders accurately and relay them to the kitchen staff promptly.
  • Serve food and beverages in a timely manner while maintaining high standards of presentation.
  • Handle guest inquiries and complaints with professionalism, striving for resolution and guest satisfaction.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the front of house area, including dining spaces and service stations.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during busy periods.
