Description Kimberton Whole Foods is hiring! We are looking for a Fruit Cutter & Produce Stocker to join the Ottsville crew! Availability: Full-time, 40 hours per week, 8-hour shifts, 5 days per week. Schedule: Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday 6:30am-3pm, Friday & Saturday 12-8:30pm Age Requirement: Must be 18 years or older. Slicing of whole fruits and vegetables, packaging, weighing and labeling of cut produce containers Maintains appropriate inventory levels and ensures accurate pricing on products received and sold Completes all necessary sanitation standards within Fresh Cut areas of produce department Rotating fresh produce on a first-in first-out basis. Follows the established KWF SOP for maintaining abundant, dynamic and fresh displays throughout the department. Working in collaboration with the Produce Department head to maintain accurate and up-to-date product signage Requirements Physical Capabilities: Full sense range (vision, hearing and sense of smell) – the ability to read product labels, distinguish color & smell for quality control as well as the ability to communicate with the customers and co-workers. Lifting, gripping and carrying objects – up to 50-75 pounds frequently, including boxes, cans, tools and other products. Stooping, squatting, & kneeling – stoop and maneuver to pick up boxes from shelving and carts. Walking – short distances to bring items from miscellaneous areas. Standing- prolonged standing. Work environment – movement based with the majority of time being in motion (walking & standing) rather that sedentary (sitting). Climate – ability to work in cold environments (cooler, Freezer, back stock area) and handle cold products for extended periods of time on a regular basis.
Responsibilities
The Fruit Cutter & Produce Stocker is responsible for providing exceptional customer service, slicing and packaging fruits and vegetables, and maintaining inventory levels. They will also ensure sanitation standards are met and collaborate with the Produce Department head for accurate product signage.
