OVERVIEW

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Housekeeper to join our team as we grow our family run business. The ideal candidate will possess a strong work ethic and a passion for maintaining cleanliness and order at our retreat. This role is essential in ensuring that our facilities are welcoming, hygienic, and well-presented for guests. Ensuring our high standards are retained. Experience, flexibility and locality are key to this role alongside an organised and willing disposition.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Previous experience in janitorial or commercial cleaning roles is essential.
  • Experience in a hotel environment is advantageous.
  • Strong customer service skills with the ability to interact positively with guests and staff.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
  • Some IT proficiency in order to manage booking system.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

    Pay: £15.00-£18.00 per hour
    Expected hours: 25 – 40 per week

Responsibilities
  • Perform thorough cleaning of our 5 glamping pods, including bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchens, bbq’s and hot tubs.
  • Ensure all cleaning supplies and equipment are used safely and efficiently.
  • Maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene throughout the premises, including outside areas. Basic planting and watering of plants and trees etc.
  • Decorating for different events and seasons. Ie. Halloween/Christmas.
  • Assist with laundry duties as required, including organising linen.
  • Provide exceptional customer service by responding to guest requests promptly and courteously.
  • Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the appropriate personnel.
  • Monitor supplies inside pods including pots, pans, glasses, utensils and crockery.
  • Preparation of food hampers.
  • Regular stock takes to ensure all cleaning products and food supplies are readily available.
  • Organising cleaners when multiple changeovers are required.
  • Follow established health and safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Flexibility and locality are, alongside attention to detail, most important when applying for this role. Due to the nature of the role, there are likely to be weeks the right candidate will have the maximum amount of hours available and other weeks where there is minimal work. On these occasions, time must be spent wisely preparing for the next busy period. We are proudly ‘fussy’ and have incredibly high standards.
