POSITION TITLE: FULL-TIME HOUSEKEEPING ASSISTANT & DRIVER (NON-LIVE-IN)
Location: City Bowl, Cape Town
Start Date: 1 September 2025
Salary: R10,000 – R12,500 per month
We are looking for a reliable, mature, and proactive individual to assist a busy family with daily transport and general household upkeep.
Key Responsibilities:
- Driving Duties:
- Daily school drop-offs and pick-ups
- Early morning starts (7:00 AM) required 2–3 times per week
- Housekeeping & Maintenance:
- General cleaning and tidying of the home
- Light gardening and basic pool care
- Monitoring and reporting household needs or maintenance issues
- Perform daily cleaning and maintenance tasks to maintain a neat, tidy, and hygienic environment.
- Ensure all household supplies are well-stocked and organized.
- Maintain a friendly and professional demeanor while respecting the privacy of the household.
Preferred Experience:
- Previous experience in housekeeping or domestic work is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of cleaning techniques, tools, and chemicals.
- Ability to manage time efficiently and handle responsibilities independently.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
- Physical stamina to perform cleaning and organizational duties.
- Trustworthy, reliable, and respectful.
- Police clearance is a must.
- Valid driver’s licence with minimum 5 years of driving experience
- Clean driving record
- Valid work permit (for foreign nationals)
- Fluency in English
- Non-smoker and no alcohol use during working hours
- Relevant training or qualifications in housekeeping/maintenance will be an advantage
