JOB OVERVIEW

We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated joiner/builder to work on a variety of projects, including full house renovations from start to finish, roofing and masonry work, while adhering to safety standards and project specifications. The successful candidate will have a strong attention to detail, excellent craftsmanship, and the ability to work efficiently and safely along with a strong background in joinery and a proficiency with hand tools and power tools. You must have your own tools.

REQUIREMENTS

  • 2+ years of experience as a joiner or in a related trade
  • Strong knowledge of joinery techniques, materials, and tools
  • Excellent craftsmanship and attention to detail
  • Ability to work safely and efficiently
  • Physical ability to lift and manoeuvre heavy materials and equipment
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Responsibilities
  • Fabricate and assemble wooden structures, including doors, windows, and furniture.
  • Operate power tools and equipment, such as table saws, miter saws, and drill presses
  • Perform joinery tasks with precision, ensuring all measurements are accurate.
  • Carry out painting and finishing work as required on completed projects.
  • Collaborate with other tradespeople on site, including electricians for integrated projects.
  • Assemble and install cabinets, shelving, and other fixtures
  • Assist in heavy lifting and moving of materials as necessary.
  • Maintain a clean and organised work area to promote safety.
  • Work safely and efficiently, following all safety protocols and regulations
  • Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, and specifications
