Responsibilities
  • Maintaining high standards of hygiene in workspace by managing and adhering to Food Safety Regulations and Health & Safety measures
  • High standards are consistent with regular quality control checks for menu items, ensuring portion sizes and presentation are uniform.
  • Maintaining stock levels at all times by correct rotation of products, ensuring date labels are updated daily, keeping waste to a minimum, ordering what is needed and with space management in mind.
  • Ordering stock from our suppliers, keeping shop bought items to a minimum
  • Ensuring the entire kitchen and stock areas clean, tidy and organised by overseeing the cleaning rotas and delegating tasks
  • Report all health and safety concerns to the manager immediately
  • Provide training and coaching to all team members as and when needed
  • Report any HR issues or concerns to the managers promptly
  • Maintain a positive & strong work ethic leading by example at all times
  • Communicate regularly with colleagues and management about any kitchen updates
  • Investigate ways to improve existing process with the team, guests and business in mind
  • Develop recipes with knowledge and understanding of the business
  • Complete mock H&S audits weekly to ensure standards and regulations are met and report any snagging items
  • Follow all instructions from management and senior roles
  • Support Front of House when needed, being the reporting supervisor to cover days off and oversee the FoH team especially during busy times or at closing
