PHYSICAL THERAPY ASSISTANT JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• Associates degree from an Accredited Physical Therapist Assistant Program
• Licensed by the State of North Carolina
• Preferred experience in skilled nursing, assisted living and/or memory care

EXPERIENCE IN ASSISTED LIVING, SKILLED CARE OR MEMORY CARE PREFERRED

• Licensed by the State of North Carolina as a Physical Therapy Assistant.
• All certifications and licensing upon hire and must maintain current throughout employment.

PHYSICAL THERAPIST ASSISTANT JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Promotes and maintains health by providing physical therapy services under the supervision of a Physical Therapist
• Contributes to a Physical Therapist effectiveness by identifying patient care issues
• Documents patient care services by charting in patients records clearly showing need for skilled therapy in a timely manner
• Reports changes in status or needs to supervising therapist
• Ability to interact with patients, families, team members, physicians and other healthcare professionals to achieve quality patient care
