JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Caregivers to provide essential support to individuals in need of assistance. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to enhancing the quality of life for our clients, whether they are seniors, individuals with disabilities, or those requiring specialised care. As a Caregiver, you will play a vital role in ensuring the comfort and well-being of your clients through various tasks and responsibilities.
This role is a live in care role 2 weeks on 3 off.
The applicant must be a driver with their own car.

EXPERIENCE

  • Previous experience in home care, senior care, or assisted living environments is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with dementia care practices is an advantage.
  • Certification in first aid is preferred but not mandatory; training can be provided.
  • A valid driver’s licence is beneficial for transporting clients as needed.
  • A compassionate nature and excellent communication skills are essential for building rapport with clients and their families.

Responsibilities
  • Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, dressing, and grooming.
  • Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and preferences.
  • Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance the client’s quality of life.
  • Administer first aid as necessary and monitor clients’ health conditions.
  • Assist with medication management and ensure compliance with prescribed treatments.
  • Facilitate mobility by assisting clients with walking or transferring in and out of beds or chairs.
  • Offer specialised care for clients with dementia or those in hospice care settings.
  • Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients, ensuring their comfort at all times.
  • Drive clients to appointments or social activities as required.
