JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care and administrative support within our medical facility.
Candidates with a passion for mental health and prior experience in outpatient psychiatry or behavioral health are strongly encouraged to apply. Would consider training a QMHA as a medical assistant.
This position requires a strong understanding of medical terminology, patient service, and the ability to work effectively in both outpatient and inpatient settings. Experience in mental health, emergency and urgent care, psychedelic therapy and hospital medicine is highly valued.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Certified or Registered Medical Assistant (CMA/RMA) or equivalent experience (required)
  • BLS certification (required)
  • Prior experience in mental health or psychiatry or as a QMHA or mental health tech roles strongly preferred
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment while managing multiple tasks efficiently
  • Excellent organization skills
  • Ability to thrive in a collaborative, mission-driven clinic setting
  • Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, and ICD coding is essential
  • Strong communication skills with a focus on exceptional patient service

Responsibilities
  • Support Spravato® treatment sessions, including patient intake, vitals, monitoring, and post-treatment care
  • Assist nursing staff and psychiatric providers during treatments
  • Maintain accurate documentation and support REMS compliance workflows
  • Provide compassionate, patient-centered support throughout the treatment process
  • Help maintain a calming, safe treatment environment
  • Administer medications as directed by providers and monitor patient responses
  • Utilize EHR systems for accurate patient documentation and coding (ICD coding)
  • Be prepared to provide basic life support when necessary and ensure adherence to safety protocols
  • Support the clinic by managing appointment scheduling and patient communications
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of clinical areas, ensuring compliance with health regulations
  • Engage in patient education regarding treatment plans, medications, and follow-up care
