Have you been fantis-eye-sing about a new role? Perth Animal Eye Hospital is seeking a self-motivated veterinary nurse to join our energetic, dynamic team. We pride ourselves on our on-the-job training and ongoing learning support.
This full time position is based in a busy ophthalmology referral hospital (the only one in WA) in the Southern Suburbs consisting of 2 specialists, 2 residents, 1 registrar and 6 nurses. Our purpose-built hospital is equipped with state-of-the-art diagnostic and anaesthesia equipment. We believe in giving our nurses opportunities for growth and utilising them to their full potential.
The working hours will be 38 worked Monday- Friday between 7:30 – 6:30pm with an on-call roster of one weekend every 6 weeks. The on-call roster is for emergencies only as we are not open for routine appointments during the weekend, yay! There is more than meets the eye with this position, as it will cover a range of aspects of surgical nursing, anaesthesia, customer service, patient care, and of course, ophthalmology.

Eye-deally the right candidate will possess:

  • Certificate IV in vet nursing or equivalent
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience but happy to consider other suitable applicants.
  • VSB registered.

  • Ability to work quickly and efficiently in a close working relationship with your fellow teammates.
  • Highly effective communication, customer service and interpersonal skills, and the demonstrated ability to collaborate with staff at all levels of the organisation.
  • An amazing ‘can do’, team player attitude.

WHAT WE CAN OFFER:

  • Predominantly weekday shifts – no more pesky weekend work other than the on-call roster
  • 4 day working week.
  • An interesting and varied roll that is equally rotated
  • Highly supportive team environment. Whats working without some fun.
  • Salary is above award and will be dependent on the experience you bring to the role.
  • Full time 38 hour
