Department of Psychiatry Full-time / Part-time Practising Clinical Psychologist I(s) / II(s) The appointee(s) will work in the Hong Kong Mood Disorders Centre with a team of mental health professionals including an experienced clinical psychologist who is one of the Accredited Clinical Supervisors of Hong Kong Institute of Clinical Psychologists (HKICP) in a setting that fosters professional growth. Duties include (a) providing quality cognitive-behavioural therapies and other evidence-based psychological treatments, to clients with anxiety disorders, mood disorders, eating disorders, sleep problems and other mental disorders; (b) providing psychological assessments and recommending treatment approaches to people with suspected mental health problems; and (c) carrying out educational activities. Administrative duty is minimal. Local and overseas training opportunities are available for full-time staff. Initial supervision will be provided by the Accredited Clinical Supervisor of HKICP to the appointee with less clinical experience. Applicants should have (i) a Master’s degree or above in Clinical Psychology; (ii) at least 4 years’ full-time clinical experience specialising in treating Chinese-speaking clients with anxiety, depression, and other common mental disorders; and (iii) outstanding clinical skills in engaging clients and building with them a therapeutic relationship. Having experience in media and public education is preferred. Willingness to work on Saturdays is an advantage. Applicants who do not fulfil the requirement in (ii) above may be considered for appointment as Practising Clinical Psychologist II. Those who will graduate with a Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology in 2025 are also welcome to apply.
