School of Journalism and Communication Full-time / Part-time Project Co-ordinator II The appointee will be responsible for (a) co-ordinating two journalistic practicums of the School of Journalism and Communication; (b) handling the administrative works of the practicums, including but not limited to budgeting, procurement, and liaison with external parties; (c) organising and supervising student activities, projects, study tours, visits and events; (d) developing and maintaining the practicums’ websites and social media presence; (e) conducting editorial meetings and monitoring the production of the practicum magazines; and (f) undertaking other duties as assigned. Applicants should have (i) a Bachelor’s degree or above in Journalism and Communication, or a related field; (ii) at least 3 years of work experience in the news media of Hong Kong; (iii) basic audio-visual production and IT skills (including knowledge of WordPress); (iv) demonstrated high calibre in managing social media platforms and digital content; (v) a good command of Chinese and English; (vi) good communication skills and the ability to maintain good relationships with students; and (vii) a self-motivated work attitude and a strong sense of responsibility. Having knowledge of Adobe InDesign, Photoshop and Premiere is preferred. Appointment will initially be made on contract basis for up to 2 years (with contract-end gratuity for a 2-year full-time contract), renewable subject to good performance and mutual agreement.
