Description
The School of Life Sciences is recruiting a full-time/part-time Research Assistant, to work on a teaching research project related to using humour as a pedagogical approach under the supervision of Dr. Alex C. Koon. Applicants should have (i) a Bachelor’s degree or above in either the Science or Social Science discipline, including but not limited to Life Sciences, Biomedical Sciences, Computer Science, Engineering, Health Science, Communication, Education etc; (ii) proficiency in English with good computer and communication skills; (iii) proficiencies in website and social media management; (iv) basic knowledge and experience with generative AI; and (v) a strong sense of responsibility. Fresh graduates are welcome to apply. The appointee will be responsible for (a) collecting data through interviews; (b) managing social media/website; (c) consolidating data for an online database; (d) assisting with the production of images using generative AI; (e) proofreading and editing research articles; and (f) assisting in conducting workshops and other teaching-related activities. Appointment will initially be made on contract basis for up to seven months commencing as soon as possible.
