Join us at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital as a Full-Time Patient & Family Concierge (PFC) on our Pulmonary Medicine Unit, 10D/10G. This role offers a meaningful way to make a difference for patients and families by enhancing their hospital experience from arrival to discharge. As a PFC, you’ll support patients, families, and clinical staff by performing a mix of bedside, stocking, and administrative tasks. You’ll assist with everything from guiding visitors and delivering meals to transporting patients and managing supplies—ensuring smooth, compassionate care every step of the way. Key Responsibilities Greet and escort patients and visitors. Assist with patient transport, meal delivery, and supply replenishment. Maintain clean, organized spaces and report maintenance needs. Answer phones, respond to call lights, and provide non-clinical assistance 10D-10G is a 29-bed pulmonary medicine unit caring for pulmonary transplant patients as well as patients with advanced conditions including (but not limited to) cystic fibrosis, COPD, asthma, scleroderma, sleep apnea, sarcoidosis, and pulmonary hypertension. 10 D/G is classified as a stepdown unit; we commonly receive patients from the Medical ICU and acuity can change quickly. We encounter many specialized medications and equipment types, and we perform bronchoscopies, thoracentesis, and line placement at the bedside. Our nurses value teamwork, professionalism, and excellent patient care. High school diploma, or active enrollment in a high school/GED program, or one year of previous work experience in lieu of a diploma/GED Must demonstrate compassion, enthusiasm, and a strong desire to provide an exceptional experience for patients and families at all times Previous experience in healthcare or customer service is preferred, but not required Ability to follow written and verbal instructions Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances: Act 34 UPMC is an Equal Opportunity Employer/Disability/Veteran
